Is Keeravani Casteist Fan?

Senior music composer M M Keeravani regularly expresses his opinions about the movies that impresses him or the stars that he likes.

He praised Balakrishna after watching “Paisa Vasool” but he got it wrong this time in comparing the slogan of ‘Jai Balayya’ with ‘Jai Hind’ and provoked criticism on Twitter.

“The good old slogan "Jai Balayya" is now emotionally and entertainingly synonymous to "Jai Hind ",” he tweeted.

Many on the twitter have expressed their anguish over Keeravani’s cheap act of using ‘Jai Hind’, the salutation that all Indians use to show patriotism towards our country, to praise Balakrishna.

Using ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Jai Balayya’, a phrase used by Balakrishna’s die-hard fans, in the same breath irked people. They felt it is an insult to ‘Jai Hind’ slogan. Hence they have slammed him. As hundreds of tweets poured in against his tweet, Keeravani seems to have got irritated completely.

Generally, this kind of “Jai Balayya” feverish chant is widely used by his fans who are predominantly from his community. So, some have pointed out that Keeravani must have tweeted like a casteist guy forgetting his legendary status as music director.

As the caste factor is brought in, he then slammed the trollers and came out with seemingly incoherent argument that if he were casteist he would not have given the chance to Radhan or other technicians.

His arguments didn’t much impress the trollers and they continued with barrage of tweets. So, Keeravani kept on tweeting defending his earlier act.

Even Rajamouli also used silly phrase in his tweet: “Coca cola Pepsi ! Balayya babu Sexy !! Nothing more needs to be said...”

Clearly, both Keeravani and Rajamouli have forgotten their status and reacted more like fans.
