Huge Blow To Mahesh Babu's Market Value

Spyder has been underperforming at the box office right from day 1, but the buyers and makers hoped to get away with less loss because of holiday season.

The film is yet to recover half of the buyers investment in every area. Going by current trend, all the distributors of Spyder will be losing somewhere around 40 to 50% of their investment.

Mahesh’s previous film Brahmotsavam also is one of the biggest ever flops at the box office. Despite that, Spyder was sold for exorbitant prices owing to the combination craze of Mahesh and Murugadoss.

With Spyder turning out to be a bigger loss venture, Mahesh’s market has surely taken a huge blow.

His movies do phenomenally well with blockbuster talk (Srimanthudu, Dookudu, Pokiri), but will struggle to post decent numbers if the talk is not encouraging (Spyder, Brahmotsavam, Aagadu, 1).

Distributors who made deals for Mahesh’s next film Bharat Ane Nenu are thinking to renegotiate after looking at the result of Spyder, say reports.

Although Koratala Siva is a bankable director, Mahesh is unable to pull a film to safety or minimal loss zone without positive word of mouth. So buyers of BAN are caught in a dilemma, claim trade reports.
