Court Asks Mahesh Babu to Attend Personally

No relief came for Mahesh Babu from a court in Hyderabad in regarding plagiarism issue.

A Telugu novel writer named Sharath Chandra has been fighting with the makers of Mahesh Babu starrer "Srimanthudu" regarding the story. He claims that the story was copied from his novel.

The court has taken up his case and the judge refused to accept the plea of Mahesh Babu's lawyers to exempt the star from personal appearance in this case.

"Since Mahesh Babu doesn't involve in writing or direction of the movie, it doesn't require my client (Mahesh) be present in the court," the lawyers argued.

Court asked him to be present in person in the next hearing. Koratala Siva, the director of 'Srimanthudu, says the charges of copying or stealing the story from this novel are baseless.

"Srimanthudu" was released in 2015. The movie was biggest hit in career of Mahesh Babu. Currently, director Koratala Siva is directing "Bharath Ane Nenu" with Mahesh Babu as lead hero.
