America Telugu Sambaralu organized by NATS at the Anaheim Convention Center last weekend was a huge success.
Over ten thousand people attended the event that was celebrated for three days. Guests included Venkaiah Naidu, Kodela Siva Prasad, Balakrishna, Kajal Agarwal, Justice Nuthi Rammohan Rao, GMR, Nimmagadda Prasad, PP Reddy, Raghurama Krishnam Raju, Tanikella Bharani, Ghazal Srinivas, Kondaveeti Jyothirmai, Parupalli Ranganath, Ali and several others.
Food and decoration got the most appreciation of all. Cultural programs performed by local talent and the flash mobs were unique and received huge applause. Exhibit stalls were packed at all times.
Spiritual and literaray programs were well attended at times very crowded. Women's and Youth programs were very entertaining and fun.The entire 350,000 square foot of space was completely filled up.
Business Symposium became the highlight of the convention with their debut program Sharks & Dreamers. If we measure the success of a convention not by good food and not by attendance but by how productive and useful it was to the telugu community with direct business opportunities to grow, then this program is on the top for its contribution to the success of the entire convention.
NATS is well known for taking initiatives that generally drive how organizations work. During Sambaralu, NATS has started initiatives that would show results in the months and years to come.
Partnerships with corporates and successful business leaders is expected to shift the pardigm of how non profit organizations like NATS think in helping the telugu community.
The first step in this direction is a pledge of $250,000 by Nimmagadda Foundation towards NATS activities and dollar to dollar match by PP Reddy for any development activities through NATS in the rural India. Another $100,000 from Nimmagadda Foundation and Vimal Kavuru to start an incubation center opens a new line of opportunity that would be of interest to aspiring entrepreneurs.
The convention ended with a sensational super hit musical night by Anup Rubens and his team that went on till 2 AM and celebrations there after.
