War Of Words Between TRS, MIM A Big Drama!

War Of Words Between TRS, MIM A Big Drama!

It is an open secret that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) are close friends, if not electoral allies.

In fact, MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi enjoys more clout with TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao than even TRS ministers.

He can straightaway walk into Pragati Bhavan to meet KCR without any hassles, while TRS MLAs and even ministers will have to wait for days to get the CM’s appointment.

Though the TRS and MIM are friends, they do not forge any alliance in the elections. Reason is simple: TRS puts up candidates to split the Hindu votes, so that the MIM can walk away with the seats in the elections with the polarisation of Muslim votes in the old city of Hyderabad.

This time, too, the MIM and TRS have announced that they are fighting elections independently and there is no alliance between them. But for the first time, TRS and MIM leaders have also been attacking each other in the ongoing GHMC elections.

While TRS leaders like K T Rama Rao, G Jagdeeshwar Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav have made strong allegations against the MIM stating that it was trying to create communal trouble, MIM leader from Charminar Mumtaz Ahmed Khan made an aggressive attack on the TRS.

Khan said on Sunday that the TRS government would collapse if the MIM really wanted to topple it.

“We know how to install a chief minister and how to pull him down. Politicking is like a clerical activity at our doorstep,” he said and also described KTR as a parrot, which opened its eyes only recently.

Obviously, the strategy of the TRS and MIM leaders is to hoodwink the people and make them believe that they are political enemies.

“It is nothing but a new drama scripted and being played out by TRS and MIM to cheat the people during the elections,” BJP spokesman K Krishna Sagar Rao said.

He said the BJP was sure this imaginary fight would continue with increased rigor for another seven days to mislead the GHMC voters. After December 1, they will be best friends again as earlier, the BJP leader said.

“The MIM and TRS leaders should nominate themselves for Oscar awards for their acting prowess,” he said.

He said the voters of the GHMC have complete clarity that a vote for TRS is a vote for MIM and it can lead to an incompetent, corrupt and communal MIM mayor for GHMC, is shattering these two party's dreams.
