More than a day after the gruesome murder of popular advocate Gattu Vamana Rao and his wife Nagamani in broad day light on the Karimnagar-Manthani road in Peddapalli district, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi suspended its leader Kunta Srinivas from the party.
For the last two days, there was not a single statement from any of the TRS leaders either from Peddapalli unit or the state party, though Vaman Rao named TRS Manthani mandal president Kunta Srinu as the one who had assaulted him.
It was only after the police arrested Kunta Srinu from Chandrapur in Maharashtra did the TRS react and issued a statement that the party was suspending him.
Interestingly, Vaman Rao also named senior TRS leader and former MLA of Manthani assembly constituency, Putta Madhu, in his dying declaration, but the party has not taken any decision on him.
The police also did not include Madhu’s name in the FIR, but said the murder took place due to past disputes between Kunta Srinu and Vaman Rao.
