Telangana MLA Raja Singh Being Isolated In BJP?

It appears firebrand MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party from Hyderabad T Raja Singh, who has been keeping the BJP flag fluttering in the city with his aggressive pro-Hindu approach, is getting isolated in the party.

Apparently, Raja Singh’s growing popularity as a sole representative of Hindus in Hyderabad has not been taken kindly by top BJP leaders who fear they might lose out in the race in the coming days.

That is precisely why the BJP state leadership sought to clip his wings by denying party tickets to the followers of Raja Singh in Goshamahal constituency, which he represents, in the GHMC elections.

Singh has been asking the party to leave the selection of candidates in his constituency to him, but the state BJP leadership completely ignored his request. This led to strong protest by his followers who ransacked the party office on Sunday.

An audio message surfaced in the social media in which Raja Singh reportedly expressed his anguish over the dictatorial behaviour of state BJP president Bandi Sanjay.

He reportedly said Sanjay had cheated him and he would write a letter to the national leadership within the next two-three days.

The BJP legislator goes on to say that in the 2018 elections, “I was the only winner and it was only because of my party activists. But today, I could not even get one of them a party ticket (for GHMC elections). They are highly disappointed,” the audio message said.

However, Raja Singh later denied of releasing any such audio message and said it was forged. He, however, did not differ with the contents of the message.
