Telangana May Face Mid-Term Polls?

Telangana May Face Mid-Term Polls?

Telangana, which witnessed early polls in December 2018 at least six month before the actual completion of term of the state assembly, may witness mid-term polls this time.

This was the prediction made by Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay. In a way, he has threatened the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government led by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Addressing an election meeting at Ramnagar, the BJP state president said very soon, the corrupt government of KCR would collapse and the state would go to mid-term elections.

“The chief minister is sure to be thrown behind the bars for his alleged acts of omission and commission,” he warned.

Sanjay alleged that the TRS was spending money like water. “It is pumping at least Rs 5 crore per each division. You can take the money being given by the TRS candidates, but please vote for the BJP candidates,” he appealed to voters.

On the public meeting being conducted by KCR at Lal Bahadur Stadium, the BJP state president said no genuine people would attend the meetings.

“After that, KCR will not show up again. And people won’t need him and his family members again,” Sanjay said.

He also alleged that KCR was raising the bogey of communal violence only to reduce the polling percentage in the GHMC elections.

“And the police director general was only reading out the script written by the chief minister,” he charged.

He wondered why the government was not arresting anybody, if KCR had so much information about perpetrators of violence.

“I have come prepared for the arrest. If KCR has guts, let him order my arrest,” the BJP leader said.
