Teenmar Alleges Political Conspiracy, Moves HC

Popular political activist and journalist Teenmaar Mallanna, who has been facing one case or the other from the Telangana police, on Saturday approached the state high court alleging a big conspiracy by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government to finish his career.

He alleged that several cases were foisted against him in the central crime station, Hyderabad and Chilkalguda police station based on complaints made by various people.

“They served notices on me on August 3 and asked me to come for questioning within three days,” Mallanna said.

The case is expected to come up for hearing in the high court on Monday.

In a latest complaint, an astrologer Lakshmikanth Sharma of Maruthi Jyothishyalam lodged a complaint in the Chilakalguda police station stating that Mallanna had demanded money from him.

Already, the police have registered two more cases on him – one based on the complaint lodged by Chiluka Praveen and another woman anchor, both from QTV, web channel being run by Teenmaar Mallanna.

“Right from morning to evening, I was made to sit in the police station in the name of interrogation. A senior official of Assistant Commissioner of Police did the questioning in such petty cases. I wonder whether ACPs do the job of sub-inspectors in all the cases?” he asked.

Mallanna alleged that KCR was trying to stifle his voice using the police forces for exposing the misdeeds of the government.

“You can’t pluck even my hair,” he challenged the chief minister.
