Roja meets KCR for blessings, slams KTR

Friendship and politics do not necessary go together. While extending a friendly hand, a political leader cannot keep quiet when the other person makes any criticism on his party or the government.

Firebrand YSR Congress party leader and newly-appointed culture minister of Telangana R K Roja has done exactly the same.

On Friday evening, Roja went to Pragati Bhavan, the camp office of Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad to seek the latter’s blessings on assuming the charge as the new minister in Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy cabinet.

She, along with her family members, had a courtesy call of the chief minister. KCR’s wife Shobha and daughter, MLC K Kavitha welcomed her in a traditional way, but putting vermillion on her forehead and presenting her with a saree and gift.

Roja, in turn, felicitated KCR by presented him with a bouquet and a portrait of KCR to the chief minister. He congratulated Roja for being inducted as Minister in Andhra Pradesh cabinet.

This is not the first time that Roja met KCR. She came to Pragati Bhavan quite a few times and she was also present along with Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy during KCR’s visit to Muchintal before the inauguration of the Statue of Equality.

But soon after coming out of KCR’s residence, Roja strongly condemned his son and state IT minister K T Rama Rao’s comments on the bad condition of roads, poor power and water supply position in Andhra Pradesh.

She said KTR should not make comments based on somebody’s inputs, but personally come to Andhra Pradesh to see the development with his own eyes.

“Let him fix a date and time, we shall show what development AP had achieved. After seeing the development, let him make comments on the roads, electricity and water in the state,” she said.
