Rajagopal made BJP national executive member

Amidst reports that Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former MLA from Munugode Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy might desert the party and defect to the Congress, the BJP high command on Wednesday gave him an important post at the national level.

According to communication from the BJP national general secretary Arun Singh on Wednesday evening, Rajagopal Reddy has been appointed as BJP national executive committee member.

The communication was also forwarded to newly-appointed BJP president G Kishan Reddy, party in-charge of Telangana affairs Tarun Chugh and state BJP general secretary G Premender Reddy.

Already, another former minister and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender had been made the BJP national executive committee member.

Interestingly, the party has not given any posting to BJP MLA from Dubbak M Raghunandan Rao, who made serious comments against the party leadership at the state and national level, including Union home minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda.

Raghunandan Rao was asking for the appointment as the BJP national official spokesman or the party president in Telangana. The high command chose to ignore his demands.

It is not immediately known what Rajagopal Reddy is thinking about the new appointment. It remains to be seen whether he would accept the post and stay back in the BJP or defect to the Congress.
