KCR out of action for two months!

Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be out of action for at least two months, as he suffered a fracture on his hip after midnight.

According to the party sources, KCR had a slip and fall in his bathroom at his farmhouse at Erravelli village of Markook mandal in Siddipet district when he accidentally got obstructed by his dhoti.

He was immediately rushed to Hyderabad and admitted to Yashoda Hospitals at Somajiguda for further care.

A medical bulletin released by the Yashoda Hospitals said on evaluation, including CT scans, it was found that he has suffered a fracture in his left hip [Intracapsular Neck of femur fracture].

“He would require left hip replacement for the same and the usual course of recovery for such cases is expected to be six to eight weeks,” the bulletin said.

He is being constantly monitored by a multi-disciplinary team including Orthopaedic, Anaesthesia, General Medicine, and Pain Medicine.

“His general condition is stable. The hospital will update his health status periodically,” the bulletin added.

It would mean KCR would not available either to the party or the assembly for at least two months. He would not be able to take oath as an MLA in the assembly nor can he convene the meeting of the BRS legislature party.

In all probability, his son and BRS working president K T Rama Rao would officiate as the BRS legislature party leader and leader of the opposition in the assembly, when the assembly session begins formally on Saturday.

It remains to be seen whether KCR will be able to come back into action in the event of the conduct of Lok Sabha elections in March/April!
