KCR begins giving shock to 'My Home' boss

Nalgonda: The panchayat raj department has served notices on the My Home group asking it to stop works on the expansion of the fourth unit of its cement industry Maha Cement in Suryapet district.

The My Home group is setting up fourth unit of its cement industry with a capacity of 1.75 metric tonnes per annum in 32 hectares of land at Mellacheruvu mandal in Suryapet district.

All these days, the local authorities have been cooperating with the My Home group to construct the company but on Saturday, the panchayat raj authorities issued stop work notices on the company saying that the cement factory was being built without any permissions.

The authorities have argued that the My Home group have taken up the construction of cement factory in 150 acres of Bhoodan movement lands, while My Home group said the factory is being built in 131 acres of land it had bought in the past.

In fact, the dispute had been there since 2009 itself. The high court asked the government to take back the land from the company but the My Home group went in for an appeal.

After the TRS came to power in 2014, Rameshwar Rao became closer to TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekar Rao, who allowed the construction.

Now that the relations between Rameshwar Rao and KCR have strained, the TRS government has reopened the file and stalled the works on cement factory.
