I Am The Next TPCC Chief, Says Komatireddy

Even as the Congress high command has begun the exercise of gathering the opinions of party leaders in the selection of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, former minister and Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy declared that he would be the next PCC chief.

“You will see for yourself who the next PCC chief will be. The high command’s decision is final in this regard. But I am confident I will be appointed in the post,” he told reporters on Thursday.

Stating that he had all the qualities of becoming the PCC chief, Komatireddy said he had taken active part in the Telangana movement.

“If given an opportunity, I will take up padayatra in every nook and corner of the state and bring the Congress to power in the next assembly elections,” he said.

Komatireddy declared that there was no question of leaving the Congress party and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, even if he did not get the PCC chief post.

“I have the Congress blood in me and I don’t have the culture of changing parties,” he said.

Asked how he would like to deal with the groupism in the Congress party, the former minister said it was not a big issue.

“In fact, there are groups in every political party, including the TRS. If given a chance, even MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar will dethrone KCR to become the chief minister,” he said.
