Harish owns up TRS defeat in Dubbak

Harish owns up TRS defeat in Dubbak

As expected, senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and state finance minister T Harish Rao had to take the blame for the party’s defeat in the by-elections to Dubbak assembly seat on Tuesday.

While TRS working president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s son K T Rama Rao said the party would accept the people’s verdict, Harish Rao was forced to say that he would take personal responsibility for the party’s defeat in Dubbak by-elections.

In fact, it should be KCR or KTR who should take the blame for the defeat because neither of them campaigned for the party candidate in Dubbak. Despite Harish’s reservations, KCR selected Solipeta Sujatha who have no image in the public.

Instead of campaigning for her, the father-son duo had thrown the entire burden on Harish Rao. Though Harish strived day and night for Sujatha’s victory, due to lack of cooperation from the bosses, he could not ensure victory. Yet, he brought the TRS to the doorsteps of the victory.

Harish said he would stand by the people of Dubbak despite the loss and strive to resolve their issues.

“We are for the people of Dubbak and we shall make all out efforts to develop Dubbak constituency,” the minister said.
