Exam paper leak a Sanjay conspiracy, says BRS

Exam paper leak a Sanjay conspiracy, says BRS

Within hours of the arrest of Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay by the police, the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) alleged that he was the mastermind behind the leakage of the SSC examination paper in Warangal on Tuesday.

“Prashant, the main accused in the SSC examination question paper leak in Warangal, is no longer a journalist, but a BJP activist. A day before the examination, Sanjay spoke to him and instructed him to get the question paper leaked so that he could blame the state government,” senior BRS leader and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy said.

The BRS leaders, one after the other, accused the BJP president of fomenting trouble in the state through allegations of question paper leaks.

Palla Rajeshwar Reddy demanded that the state government book a case against Bandi Sanjay under the Preventive Detention Act. It was under the direction of Sanjay that the Warangal question paper issue accused Prashanth had shared the SSC Hindi question paper on WhatsApp groups, he said.

“Sanjay is trying to derive political mileage by putting the future of lakhs of students at stake. He should be booked under the PD Act,” Reddy said and appealed to the students and parents not to fall prey to such cheap tactics of the BJP.

Chennur MLA and government whip Balka Suman said BJP leaders were deliberately indulging in mudslinging to defame the ruling BRS government.

“Be it TSPSC question paper leak issue or the SSC question paper leak, BJP workers were involved in such crimes. All this was being done with an eye on the next Assembly elections in the State,” he said.

There was a systematic plan behind all these tactics. Exposing the chronology of the BJP’s ploys, Suman said just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Telangana, BJP leaders were resorting to leaking question papers and other tactics so that the Prime Minister or Union Home Minister could criticize the ruling BRS government and mislead the people.

BRS MLA Peddireddi Sudershan Reddy, in a statement, demanded that Bandi Sanjay be suspended from the Parliament.

“Despite being an MP, Sanjay had failed to alert the police on the question paper leak soon after getting a message on WhatsApp and instead had tried to take political mileage out of it,” he said.
