None of the major Congress leaders in Delhi paid attention to Sharmila, the president of that party in Andhra Pradesh, who brought a list of Congress candidates.
The list she brought was approved in just half an hour in the Congress Central Election Committee meeting without any further discussion.
Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge commented how could she find these many faces to contest and also asked if anyone of them would get deposits?
It is also heard that saying, "Don't waste time on Andhra," a senior leader cleared six MP seats and 114 MLA seats within half an hour.
A party leader asked Sharmila, "You are the successor of YSR. Why couldn't you get reputable candidates from outside joining our party?"
Despite being in Delhi for two days, neither the media nor the party leaders showed much enthusiasm to meet Sharmila.
