Anantapur MP JC Diwakar Reddy claims that his support is crucial for AP Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. However, he acknowledged that he also needed the support of Chandra Babu.
Understanding this need for mutual support, he met up with Chandra Babu prior to the polls he revealed. JC sounded confident while claiming that Chandra Babu will not be able to take up any developmental activities in the Anantapur district without his support.
He made it clear that despite the district being represented by the Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunita in the AP state Assembly, it is his word that carries weight in the region.
JC was in the city to be sworn in as a MLA, when he made these comments in the Anantapur Assembly lobby on Thursday morning. Being new to TDP, he said he did not have any yellow shirts and confessed to sporting the TDP colours only once during the election campaigning.
On the occasion, he said that the era of Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has come to an end. He also opined that Priyanka Gandhi’s efforts at playing a pro-active role in the party will bring in zero results at this point in time.
