Real Estate: A Shocking Rs 2.85 Lakh Per Sft

Mumbai has set a new real estate record with a property in Worli selling for Rs 2,85,000 per square foot.

The sale involved two duplex apartments, totaling Rs 639 crore; and with taxes, the value crossed Rs 703 crore.

This marks one of the highest property deals in India, showing how luxury housing continues to soar.

Worli, along with Malabar Hill and Tardeo, remains one of the city’s most expensive and in-demand areas. These localities offer sea views, top-tier amenities, and improved access thanks to projects like the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

So, who’s buying at these sky high prices? Ultra-rich business families, global investors and Bollywood stars are among the buyers.

They are looking for premium locations, sea views and homes with top-notch design and privacy. For them, this is more than a purchase; it’s a status symbol.

Though such sky-high prices aren’t common, Mumbai has seen deals over Rs 2 lakh per square foot since 2016.

With limited supply and rising expectations, the dream of luxury living in Mumbai is no longer just about comfort; it’s about making history.

On the other side, top builders and developers are rushing to create more such projects.

Whether you're a buyer, a seller, or just dreaming, Mumbai’s real estate scene is more exciting than ever before.
