Maverick evangelist K A Paul, who was in a virtual oblivion for several years, has been back in the news for the last few days, particularly taking pot shots at Telugu Desam Party general secretary and newly-inducted minister in Andhra Pradesh cabinet Nara Lokesh.
On Tuesday, Paul came up with a funny tweet. He said he wanted to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Lokesh at Velagapudi in Amaravati on Sunday, but he could not due to technical problem in his personal chartered plane.
He tweeted: “@naralokesh unable to attend your swearing in ceremony as my Boeing 747 got breakdown on runway. God bless you!”
At the same time, Paul also made fun of Lokesh for being given three major portfolios – Information Technology, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development after being inducted into his father N Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet.
“Giving three main portfolios to Loki is like asking 6th class student to write the exam of IIT JEE,” he tweeted.
During the recent MLC elections, too, Paul came up with some sarcastic tweets to run down Lokesh.
Paul tweeted then: “@naralokesh Contest in the elections be an MLA, I will campaign for you like the way I did for Trump. Never give up.”
Obviously, he was ridiculing Lokesh to choose the backdoor entry into the cabinet – by getting nominated as MLC under the MLAs’ quota.
When Paul could get help US president Donald Trump get elected, he can as well help Lokesh win the MLA seat in the assembly elections. If need be, Paul can even make Lokesh as the chief minister, right?
