Watch: MAVIGUN Idea Shattering Amaravati Dream?

Watch: MAVIGUN Idea Shattering Amaravati Dream?

Is Jagan’s “MAVIGUN” idea shattering the Amaravati dream? The answer, many believe, is yes.

While the name “MAVIGUN” has been heavily trolled, the concept seems to have hit hard at the current ruling government and its plans to build Amaravati as the capital.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu himself recently stated that the basic expenditure required to make Amaravati a livable city could reach around ₹2 lakh crore.

Quoting this figure, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy argued that with an investment of just ₹10,000 crore, a better capital corridor could be developed.

Even though the term “MAVIGUN” was mocked initially, some investors appear to be taking the idea seriously.

Many seem to have understood that Jagan Mohan Reddy may not be interested in the Amaravati development model.

If he returns to power, they fear their investments in the Amaravati region could be at risk.

This uncertainty is now seen as a concern not only for the TDP but also for investors who might reconsider their commitments after hearing Jagan’s remarks.

Although Amaravati has received legal approval as the capital, that alone may not be enough to ensure the region’s development.

Ultimately, the real estate or any other investment depend heavily on the confidence and trust of investors.

At this stage, the issue is not whether Jagan Mohan Reddy would actively pursue the MAVIGUN concept if he comes back to power.

The more pressing concern is that Amaravati is currently struggling to attract the level of investor interest needed to drive its development.
