Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan always used to keep himself away from the family of his elder brother megastar Chiranjeevi.
There were hardly any occasions when he attended the pre-release functions or audio release functions and success meets involving Chiranjeevi or his son Ramcharan Teja; or for that matter Allu Arjun. And even the mega family members hardly used to come to Pawan Kalyan’s film functions.
With Pawan Kalyan differing with Chiranjeevi’s political decisions, there was never a common talking point between the two in state politics.
After Pawan Kalyan floated Jana Sena Party four years ago, Chiranjeevi never uttered a word about it. Gradually, Chiranjeevi opted out of politics.
Now, suddenly, Pawan Kalyan is getting closer to Chiranjeevi and his family. Recently, he visited Chiranjeevi’s house and posed pictures with his brother, sister-in-law, nephew and nieces.
And on Friday night, he even attended success meet of Rangasthalam, the latest superhit film of Ramcharan Teja.
He showered praises on Ramcharan and called him his younger brother, as he felt Chiranjeevi as his father and Surekha as his mother.
This has surprised many. Never in the past did Pawan speak so fond of his brother’s family, at least in the last few years.
Of course, at his last month’s Guntur meeting, Pawan spoke for the first time of Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party and how he was cheated by some people on whom he had reposed a lot of faith. He even threatened to take revenge on all those who had betrayed his eldest brother.
Apparently, Pawan is desperate to seek the support of millions of mega fans, since he has now entered into full-time politics.
Unless he comes closer to Chiranjeevi and seeks his support, he cannot get their backing in the next elections.
May be Chiranjeevi, too, might indirectly extend his support to Pawan!
