Why Is Naidu Against No-Trust Motion?

The YSR Congress party has expressed surprise as to why Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is against moving a no-confidence motion against the NDA government which he has been accusing of betraying Andhra Pradesh by not implementing the promises made in AP Reorganisation Act.

“The call for no-confidence motion has come not from the YSRC, but from Naidu’s friend and partner Pawan Kalyan. We immediately reacted on it and expressed our willingness to either move the no-confidence motion if the TDP supports us or vice versa. But strangely, Naidu is not responding to it,” YSRC senior leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana said.

He condemned Naidu’s comment that YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy was talking through his hat for demanding the TDP support to the no-confidence motion.

“He says we don’t know the rules of assembly or parliament to move the motion. But the fact is that Naidu himself does not know the rules. He is afraid of taking on Narendra Modi government,” Botsa said.

He said Jagan had categorically stated that his party would fight tooth and nail for achieving special category status to Andhra Pradesh and was ready to join hands with anyone who stands for our cause.

“It was Naidu who has backed out and has been playing hide and seek games as he is scared of the Centre due the various charges of corruption he has been facing,” he said.
