These days, Nara Lokesh is seen in action more than his father and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Interestingly, the observation is that Chandrababu Naidu is neither seen nor heard for the past some time.
Ever since the humiliating defeat in the 2019, Chandrababu Naidu had been moving around, except for those lockdown days.
He toured several places after the lockdown and was seen addressing the media on every alternate day.
However, for reasons not known, Chandrababu Naidu has become silent and invisible for the past one month.
He is mostly confining himself to his house in Hyderabad and not even addressing the usual media conferences.
But, his son, Nara Lokesh, is becoming more vociferous and visible, taking up every issue and speaking to the media too.
The party is mobilising considerable crowd and elevating Lokesh as the leader Gen Next.
The TDP is on the wane with the party’s humiliating defeat in the general elections and complete washout in the local body elections.
The TDP had never suffered this type of defeat and humiliation in its long history. Even when the party lost in 1989 elections and later in 2004 and 2009, it had leadership in Assembly and Parliament.
The party also was able win considerable number of local bodies even when it lost power in the three elections.
However, it is facing existence problem these days and Lokesh is being pushed to become a mass leader.
It is for this reason, as said by many in the TDP circles, that Chandrababu Naidu is not heard and seen as frequently as Lokesh!
