The sudden meeting of popular television and programme anchor Udaya Bhanu with Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday raised many eyebrows.
Udaya Bhanu, who took a break from anchoring for a long time due to her pregnancy, returned to the small screen with a bang recently a few months after giving birth to twin babies.
She has started doing programmes regularly. She also appeared on a couple of audio launch and pro-release programmes of Telugu films in the recent past.
However, she had never seen being associated with politics in the past nor did she give any hint that she was interested in politics. So, it naturally evokes surprise when she suddenly met the chief minister and had a chat with him for some time.
Now, people are wondering whether there is any political significance to her meeting with the chief minister.
Bhanu posted in her Facebook page stating that it was always an honour and a moment of pride to meet “one of the greatest and dynamic leaders of our country – our Hon’ble chief minister KCR sir. His blessings and best wishes mean a lot to us and to our little angels.”
So far so good, but why meeting KCR now? May be, she wants to test her fortunes in politics as well, since she might not be getting good chances of anchoring programmes which has become a highly competitive field!
