When the social media handle of Pawan Kalyan Creative Works stated that Pawan Kalyan has no “immediate plans to commence new films,” fans were understandably disappointed.
However, the mere mention of “OG 2” quickly shifted the mood, sparking excitement and discussions online.
Fans seem to have moved on from the disappointing result of Ustaad Bhagat Singh and are now pinning hopes on “OG 2,” the sequel to the successful OG.
Many have even started tagging director Sujeeth on social media, urging him to begin the project immediately.
However, sources indicate that “OG 2” is unlikely to materialize either this year or next year.
Sujeeth is currently busy with his ongoing project Bloody Romeo, starring Nani. He has already unveiled a glimpse and begun pre-production work.
With Nani presently occupied with The Paradise, Sujeeth’s film is expected to go on floors only after August.
Given this timeline, “Bloody Romeo” itself may take over a year to complete. Additionally, the director has other commitments lined up.
Even if Pawan Kalyan shows interest in starting “OG 2” next year, it may not be practical. By then, the political climate is expected to intensify, and Pawan Kalyan is likely to focus more on his political responsibilities.
Considering all these factors, the chances of “OG 2” going on floors anytime soon appear quite slim.
