Popular director S S Rajamouli, who was initially reluctant to be the consultant for the Andhra Pradesh government with regard to designing of government buildings for Amaravati, the new capital of the state, now seems to be seriously involved in the project.
According to sources, he has been regularly attending the meetings convened by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss the designs of the buildings.
In October last, he also visited London to review the designs prepared by noted architects Norman Fosters and Partners.
So far so good. But Rajamouli evoked some curiosity among the media, when he brought his son Karthikeya to the meeting convened by Naidu in Hyderabad on Sunday, to finalise the designs of High Court and state assembly buildings.
Karthikeya was seated right next to Rajamouli, while the latter was giving a power-point presentation to Naidu on the designs aspect.
And Naidu asked him to come to Amaravati in a day or two to give final touches to the designs before they are approved.
Now, the question is what Karthikeya was doing in the meeting? Is he also a part of the Amaravati designs project?
Sources say Karthikeya is into advertisement film making and he put forth a proposal to make a documentary on the new capital Amaravati. So, Rajamouli is lobbying for his son.
It is not exactly known whether Naidu has accepted the proposal or not.
