What promise Jagan has given to Pilli?

The revolt by YSR Congress party Rajya Sabha member and former minister Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose against the party seems to have subsided, at least for now with the MP declaring that he has no plans whatsoever to quit the party.

It was only on Sunday that Pilli announced that he would quit his Rajya Sabha membership and the party, if state information and public relations minister Ch Srinivasa Venugopala Krishna is given the YSRCP ticket to contest the next elections from Ramachandrapuram constituency in Konaseema district.

Pilli declared that he would contest as an independent, if he was not given the ticket, or his son would contest the elections from Ramachandrapuram.

With his statement creating ripples in the party, party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy summoned him again to Tadepalli for talks. One doesn’t know what transpired between them, but after coming out of the meeting, Pilli appeared to be softened a bit.

He returned to Ramachandrapuram and met with his followers. He said he had no plans to quit the party or join Jana Sena Party or any other party.

“I was one of the important pillars of YSR Congress party. I have been with the party since its inception. It is my own party and I built it with my hands,” he said.

Stating that he had brought certain issues to the notice of the party president, Pilli said it was his responsibility.

“Whether it was Y S Rajasekhar Reddy in the past or Jagan now, I have been representing the party issues with them and they always respected my view point,” he said.

He said he had no personal needs to be fulfilled and whatever he had asked from the high command, it was only for the people.

“I felt bad when the feelings of my followers and party workers were hurt. I felt sad when some leaders ill-treated them. I brought all these to the notice of Jagan,” he said.

At the same time, Pilli said any political party does not have doors and gates.

“Anybody can go out or come in at their will. I am confident that Jagan will take a correct decision on Ramachandrapuram. He gave me a lot of assurance and I am sure, justice would be done for the party workers. I am expecting a positive decision from Jagan,” he added.
