Irrigation Minister of Telangana, Harish Rao dashed off to Delhi to meet Union Minister for 'Water Resources', Uma Bharati to express his ire over the verdict of the ‘Krishna Tribunal Board’.
The ‘Board’ had ruled in favor of Andhra Pradesh and immediately asked Telangana to stop ‘power generation’ at Srisailam dam.
Harish Rao termed the decision a ‘biased one’ and asked the Union Minister to dissolve the ‘Krishna Water Board’. This is nothing but a face saving measure and an attempt by the TRS to mislead the people of Telangana.
The Telangana government was not authorized to draw excess water and the GO clearly proves this.
The ‘tribunal’ gave a decision based on facts and not emotions. Asking for the ‘Krishna Water Board’ to be abolished because it did not give a decision in favor of Telangana is nothing short of ridiculous.
Suppose Harish Rao were to lose a case in the ‘Supreme Court’ tomorrow, would he ask for the ‘Supreme Court’ to be abolished?
