The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has finally realised the importance of the social media in reaching out to the maximum number of people and counter the attack from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Right from the day one, the TRS has strengthened its social media wing and it has been going very aggressively in propagating the programmes and policies of the K Chandrasekhar Rao government and also on attacking the opposition parties.
It has successfully created an impression among the people that the Congress party is stalling the developmental programmes taken up by the KCR government.
Now, the Telangana Congress has woken up from slumber and has started looking for an effective social media campaigner.
TPCC president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy wants the party workers to focus on utilising social media to expose the failures of TRS Government in the State.
He said that the TRS government has been pressurising the mainstream media from exposing its failures.
It has been trying several means to prevent Congress leaders from getting deserved coverage in the mainstream media. Therefore, the Congress workers should concentrate on exploring the Social Media to spread the party's message to the people, he said.
He pointed out that the number of smart phone users connected to Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter are significantly higher compared to other States.
Therefore, he said that the Congress workers should not depend solely on mainstream media and use the Social Media Networking tools to expose the failures of TRS Government at their levels.
