Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar appears to be trying to find his political rehabilitation in the YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
The Tuesday’s meeting between Vundavalli and Jagan at the former’s residence in Rahahmundry has lent credence to the speculation that the former MP might join the YSR Congress party sooner or later.
Jagan came all the way to Vundavalli’s house to call on the latter following the demise of his mother. Both of them held one-on-one discussions for some time.
Though Vundavalli was an ardent follower of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, he had been keeping distance from Jagan for the last six years. In fact, many times, Vundavalli made scathing attack on Jagan on several issues and even threatened to expose Jagan’s power hungry politics.
But following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Vundavalli came out of the Congress and had been waiting for an opportunity to stage a comeback into politics.
Apparently, Jagan is learnt to have invited Vundavalli into his party and be his political advisor. It remains to be seen whether Vundavalli would adjust to Jagan’s style of functioning.
