Vizag Seer Settles TTD Auction Dispute?

The raging storm over auctioning of 50 properties belonging to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams finally subsided with the TTD trust board keeping the decision in abeyance, following reported intervention from chief minster Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Sources, however, revealed that the chief minister had consulted his favourite spiritual guru – Swamy Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham on how to end the controversy as the issue has attracted the attention of the Centre, thanks to the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders making it a big issue.

The Swamiji is learnt to suggested to the chief minister not to take any hasty decisions with regard to the Tirumala temple in the present circumstances, as religious issues would severely hamper the political prospects of the party.

“There should not be any controversies with regard to such decisions, as they are very sensitive issues concerning the sentiments of millions of people. We need to take into consideration their views,” Swaroopanandendra Swamy told the chief minister.

He pointed out that the entire focus of the pilgrims was on the reopening of the Tirumala temple after the lockdown and any such decisions like auctioning of temple properties during the lockdown period would give wrong impressions among the people.

After talking to Swamiji, Jagan called up Subba Reddy and asked him to put off the decision to auction the TTD properties.
