Viveka murder case: CBI to conduct narco tests?

The Central Bureau of Investigation, which has stepped up its investigation into the murder of Y S Vivekananda Reddy, former minister and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s uncle, has decided to go in for narco-analysis tests of the accused.

The CBI filed a petition in the Jammalamadugu court seeking permission to conduct narco-analysis tests on Sunil Yadav, one of the main accused in the case.

The court heard arguments from Sunil’s lawyer and the CBI counsels in this regard and posted the case for a final hearing on August 27.

The CBI also interrogated Y S Bhaskar Reddy, father of Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy and his brother Y S Manohar Reddy, who happens to be the YSR Congress party in-charge of Pulivendula at the R&B Guest House at Pulivendula.

The CBI authorities also questioned Sunil Yadav’s close relative Bharat Yadav and two other suspects including Mahabub Basha and Nagendra from Pulivendula.

A head constable and another person who was looking after the agriculture operations of Viveka were also quizzed by the CBI.

Meanwhile, Viveka’s daughter Narreddy Sunitha met the CBI officials at the guest house again and discussed with them over the progress of investigation.

She reportedly gave a list of suspects in the murder case and wanted the agency to question the prime suspects.

It may be mentioned that Sunil’s family members recently made a statement saying the CBI authorities were trying to fix small people in the case, while allowing the “bigwigs” go scot free.
