Uma, Sandra in TRS on Sonia birthday?

Uma, Sandra in TRS on Sonia birthday?

The Telangana Telugu Desam Party seems to be getting vacated faster than one has expected, as more and more leaders are hurrying to jump into other parties, particularly the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, in search of greener pastures.

The latest rumour doing rounds in the media circles since Saturday morning was that former minister Uma Madhava Reddy and TDP legislator from Sattupalli in Khammam district Sandra Venkata Veeraiah are all set to join the TRS soon.

The muhurtham set for their entry into the TRS is said to be December 9, the day when the Centre, for the first time, announced the commencement of the process for Telangana formation in 2009.

The co-incidence is that December 9 also happens to be the birthday of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.

May be, the TRS leadership has fixed the date to demoralise the Congress party which expected large scale inflow the Telangana TDP leaders into it in the wake of defection of Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy.

Now, who will remain the Telangna TDP now? There will be only one MLA left in the party – R Krishnaiah from L B Nagar, but he has never been an active TDP leader but is known as the president of BC Welfare Association. There will be a few other leaders like E Peddi Reddy, Mothkupalli Narsimhulu and L Ramana.

It is only a matter of time that they all look for better opportunities to continue their political career.
