Now that bifurcation has become a reality, everyone is eagerly waiting to see if KCR would merge TRS with the Congress party.
Recently, he met up with AICC President Sonia Gandhi along with his family. Many saw that as a precedent for an eventual merger. But KCR brushed aside rumours saying it was a personal call. Back in Hyderabad, KCR denied merging with the Congress.
Senior leader and union minister Jayram Ramesh has revealed that deliberations are on for a possible tie-up with TRS.
A few days earlier, Jayram Ramesh had said that if TRS is voted to power, it will see the revival of feudal governance and dora culture in the Telangana state.
However, he has now hinted at a possible tie-up. He also criticized BJP for trying to hinder the formation of a separate Telangana state during the voting process in the Lok Sabha.
He said that it was Congress which made Telangana a reality and gave Hyderabad to the newly formed state.
Jayram Ramesh also assured that Article 371 would continue as it is.
Before wrapping his speech, Jayram Ramesh said ex CM Kiran Kumar Reddy moving the Supreme Court over bifurcation took him by surprise.
