TDP show-cause notice to Kesineni: Real or fake?

TDP show-cause notice to Kesineni: Real or fake?

A show-cause notice purported to have been issued by the disciplinary committee of Telugu Desam Party to party MP from Vijayawada Kesineni Nani has been doing rounds in the social media, creating ripples in the party.

The show-cause notice issued by Bachula Arjunudu, president of the TDP disciplinary committee said the response of Vijayawada parliament member Kesineni Nani was highly deplorable.

“Any international issues of the party could be discussed within the party forum or brought to the notice of the disciplinary committee. Instead, the MP chose to express his view on social media openly, which is very unfortunate,” the notice in circulation said.

Stating that such comments on the social media do not augur well for his stature, Arjunudu reportedly said it was not proper on the part of Kesineni to make such comments at a time when the party was in crisis.

“If he feels anybody has violated party discipline, he should have brought to the notice of the party, instead of disclosing the names on the social media,” he said.

Arjunudu said TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu had directed him to issue show-cause notice to Kesineni immediately. He should give an explanation to the party within seven days, the notice being in circulation said.

Though there was no official confirmation to the media from the party on this notice till now, Kesineni reacted to the social media post strongly saying: “Cha.. Nijamga (Oh, is it true)?”

He also asked whether the party would take action against those who had violated the party discipline, if he sent the list of such people along with evidence.

However, the TDP sources said the press statement or the social media posting was fake one and a conspiracy by the rival party.

“If there is any such thing, it would be open and notice would be sent to Kesineni directly, instead of posting it on the social media,” a TDP leader said.
