TDP Defectors Unhappy In TRS?

Those who defected from other parties into the Telangana Rashtra Samithi are feeling suffocated, as the kind of euphoria they enjoyed while joining the TRS is missing now.

This was revealed not by the defected MLAs, but by Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh Naidu, son of party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing a gathering of party functionaries at NTR Trust Bhavan, Lokesh recalled an incident in the recent past.

“A TDP legislator who defected to the TRS had been calling me several times. Though I did not respond to him initially, I finally decided to take his call. And he started pouring out his woes when I asked him how he was,” he said.

The MLA told Lokesh that he was feeling suffocated in the TRS.

“Before joining the TRS, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke to me very nicely. He hosted sumptuous lunch for me and spent nearly three hours with me. And that was the last time I met him. After that, whenever I sought his appointment, I was denied the same,” the MLA said.

When Lokesh advised him to approach KCR through his district minister, the MLA said the situation of the minister was no different.

“You have voice and you could express feelings to me. But who will understand my fate? I am also in a similar position,” the minister lamented.

What Lokesh said might be right, but what is the fate of the YSR Congress party MLAs who joined the TDP? Leaders like Bhuma Nagi Reddy are said to be sulking as Naidu did not fulfil the promise of making him a minister!
