The Congress party in Telangana is already in the wane even after granting statehood for Telangana and suffering humiliating defeats at the hands of TRS in all elections.
This was because the party leaders lack unity and resort to infighting at the cost of party.
In the recent GHMC elections, the Congress won just 2 seats though it contested 140 seats.
Despite TRS wave, Congress corporators from Nacharam and Patancheru achieved victory. But T-Congress leaders lacked even minimum courtesy to congratulate them.
While both were taking oath at GHMC as corporators, no Congress leader was present, though there were state leaders from TDP, BJP and other parties despite winning single digit seats each.
Even after oath ceremony, both the Congress corporators drove to party office Gandhi Bhavan on their own to meet T-Congress leaders and seek blessings, but no one was present there.
Both the corporators were shocked at this saying that if this is state of affairs of Congress, it would take not much time before it faces complete extinction in Telangana and both of them
T-Congress leaders should try to learn their lessons at least now, if they want to save Congress in Telangana.
