That was a notable pub on the main road of Jubilee Hills but with an incident it has become notorious. Yes, it's Amnesia.
The strict rule to be followed by the pub owners is to allow their customers into their premises only after confirming their legally permissible age. But Amnesia Pub was caught in this aspect followed by the rape of a minor girl after having party in this hangout place.
Though the place of actual crime is outside the premises of this pub, the pub owners were also made a party in the crime as they allowed the minors into their place to hangout.
While the case is still under investigation, here comes an interesting parallel story.
Almost all the channels and websites openly covered the name of the pub while reporting the incident. But one mainstream channel kept on focussing on the rape incident and the girl but not the pub.
The channel didn't even take the name of the pub. Knowing this, the channel owner called and reprimanded the crime reporter for sparing the pub when it had committed a crime.
To this the crime reporter gave an explanation that the popular news anchor from the same TV channel directed him not to let the name of the pub out as he is a partner in the business. The channel owner was shocked by this and expressed his disappointment.
Well, the disappointment is for not being able to cover the name of the pub in the news report, but for knowing that his employee is a partner in a happening business.
