Alleging that Telugu Desam Party activists were behind AICC president Sonia Gandhi ‘samadhi’ protest at Tirupati, the Congress activists on Wednesday performed last rites to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu as a counter act.
The Congress activists alleged that integrationists might not have constructed a ‘Samadhi’ for Sonia Gandhi to vent their anger against bifurcation of the State but the TDP activists might have done the heinous act. Stating that they could not digest Sonia ‘samadhi’ protest, they said they had performed the last rites of Chandrababu’s effigy though they were not interested to do so. Some Congress activists performed ‘Mahishasura Mardhini’ killing Chandrababu Naidu.
Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee, under leadership of Labor Minister Danam Nagender performed “Evil Sight” ritual for the portrait of Sonia at Necklace Road and conducted prayer at Hanuman temple in protest against constructing a grave for Sonia at Tirupati.
Danam demanded that the State government immediately initiate action against those responsible for construction of grave for the Congress president. He also asked the Tirupati Congress leaders how they remained silent when the agitators constructed a ‘samadhi’ for Sonia Gandhi.
