Firebrand YSR Congress Party legislator R K Roja from Nagari assembly constituency in Chittoor is known for her innovative protests and aggressive comments at the ruling Telugu Desam Party and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
On Wednesday, Roja took up a protest rally at Puttur town demanding special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
She accused Naidu of hoodwinking the people in the name of special package to the state and demanded that Naidu take up the special category issue, when meets the Prime Minister Narendra Modi next week.
In a bid to register her protest in an innovative manner, Roja sported flowers on both her ears as if to convey the message that the Naidu government was cheating the gullible people with false promises.
Hundreds of followers of Roja and the YSRC party workers participated in the rally and raised slogans against the government by holding placards.
Apart from special category status, the YSRC leaders also demanded that the government fill up job vacancies immediately, besides paying unemployment allowance to the youth who could not get jobs.
