Telangana Telugu Desam Party president A Revanth Reddy has been in touch with the Congress high command in New Delhi not in the last few days, but for the last six months, if the allegations levelled by his own party leaders are to be believed.
Senior TDP leader and MLC Payyavula Kesav, against whom Revanth had made some serious allegations, told the media in an informal chat on Monday that the Kodangal MLA had been conspiring against the party for quite some time.
“I have all the evidences to prove that Revanth had been making rounds in Delhi and meeting the Congress top leaders for the last six months. But, I have remained silent in the best interest of the party,” Kesav said.
He further alleged that Revanth also had secret links with the YSR Congress party.
“In the recent Singareni Collieries labour union elections, Revanth sported the khanduwas of the YSRCP. But he tried to project me in bad light just for meeting Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the marriage of Paritala Sriram,” he said.
Refuting the allegations of his business connections in Telangana, Kesav said his nephew had applied for bar and restaurant in Hyderabad and was granted licence as per norms.
“It is worth not even Rs 2 crore. But Revanth has alleged that KCR had granted me licence for Rs 500 crore beer manufacturing unit. It is unfortunate that Revanth does not know the difference between bar and beer unit,” he said.
