The Guntur Court has ordered an enquiry into the alleged misdeeds of Vijayalakshmi, daughter of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao.
Vijayalakshmi is a practicing gynecologist in Guntur and has been slapped with land-grabbing, kidnapping and robbery charges.
According to the complainant Siva Lakshmi, her family owned 2.28 acres of land near Guntur. Vijayalakshmi kidnapped her son and blackmailed her into registering her land in her name said Siva Lakshmi.
She also said in her complaint that Vijayalakshmi along with 150 goondas barged into her house, and took away cash and jewellery after destroying the furniture in the house.
Siva Lakshmi said that the police paid no heed to her complaint whereupon which she filed a complaint in the Guntur Court with the assistance of Shanta Kumar, the Head of Guntur Bar Association. This however, is only Siva Lakshmi’s version of events.
In September of last year, Padmapriya, the estranged wife of Kodela Sivaramakrishna had filed a kidnapping and assault case against him.
He is the son of Kodela Siva Prasada Rao. Padma Priya had been living with her parents in Vizag following differences with her husband.
Her husband along with his henchmen broke into her house and took away their four year old son, Gowtham. Padma Priya also said that she did not realize until after her marriage that Sivaramakrishna had already been married earlier and his first wife too had left him.
She also complained that threats against her and her family increased after the TDP came to power.
