Ramoji all praise for KCR: What's up?

Eenadu Group chairman Ramoji Rao has a lot of influence on the politicians, especially on the powers-that-be, but he never comes out openly in support of or in opposition to any politician. His media house speaks for his political stand.

So, when Ramoji wrote a letter to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday praising the latter’s efforts in promoting Telugu language, it raised many eyebrows.

In his letter, Ramoji appreciated the efforts of KCR for taking the initiative in making Telugu language compulsory for all classes up to Class 12.

He went step ahead and even advised the Chief Minister to also make Telugu mandatory for recruitments to government posts.

Surprisingly, the media baron took a dig at the previous Congress and the TDP governments for not showing any interest in promoting Telugu.

He said though the previous governments had made a lot of noise over promoting Telugu language, none could dare to make it compulsory for all.

“Thankfully, you reacted at the right time and took the right decision to revive the past glory of our mother tongue. This would be a major leap in restoring Telugu language and encouraging it among the next generations,” he said.

Ramoji also urged the Chief Minister to make Telugu language mandatory for administrative work, which would lead to an extensive use of Telugu language among public and thus ensure a prominent place for the mother tongue in Telangana state.

May be the media baron has sought to express his gratitude towards the KCR government for allotting over 300 acres of land for his proposed spiritual city!
