If the reports doing rounds in media circles are to be believed, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has already started the preparatory work for capturing power in 2019 elections.
According to these reports, popular political strategist Prashant Kishor, who was hired by Jagan for a hefty remuneration, has begun his exercise of eliciting public opinion on the present political scenario in the state.
He has formed several teams of young research scholars working for his team – Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) and deputed them to all corners of Andhra Pradesh.
The job entrusted to these research scholars is to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the YSRC, its prospective candidates and sitting MLAs, besides analysing the public opinion on the performance of the Chandrababu Naidu government, the positive and negative points of Naidu, his political strategies, the possible impact of Pawan Kalyan and the strategies of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“Based on the feedback obtained from the team members, Prashant will work out a comprehensive strategy for Jagan.
He will also give suggestions on whether Jagan needs to change his style of functioning and his approach towards various political issues. Finally, he will suggest the winning formula,” sources said.
