The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi is all set to get a boost in Greater Hyderabad with former MLA P Vishnuvardhan Reddy, son of late Congress Legislature Party leader P Janardhan Reddy, sending feelers to join the TRS.
Vishnu, who remained with the Congress party even after the elections, has surprised everybody when he received Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s grandson Himanshu at the Peddamma Thalli temple at Jubilee Hills and felicitated him on his birthday.
Vishnu, who is also a trustee of the temple, had a lot of talk with the TRS leaders who accompanied Himanshu.
This has led to speculations that Vishnu would be soon joining the TRS. His sister Vijaya Reddy, who was earlier with the YSR Congress party, had already joined the ruling party and is now the TRS corporator in the GHMC.
Vishnu unsuccessfully contested the last Assembly elections from Jubilee Hills and lost to TDP’s Maganti Gopinath. Since Gopinath also joined the TRS recently, Vishnu will have to move to Khairatabad if he joins the TRS. He has no competition here, since his sister is happy with her corporator post.
