People lost faith in Naidu, says Vundavalli

The people have lost their faith in Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu with regard to achieving special category status to the state and they do not believe Naidu is sincere in his fight against the Centre.

This was stated by former Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar on Wednesday.

“At least YSR Congress party has taken the initiative by proposing a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. Though the TDP also served the notice later, it could not convince the people about its sincerity,” he said.

He sought to know how Naidu would control the Centre if his party gets 25 MP seats.

“People will not be carried away by such high rhetoric. They are of the view that the Centre had meted out injustice to the state only because of his inefficiency.

If Naidu has to win over their confidence, he should really come up with evidences to prove that his government had spent the central funds in a judicious manner and submitted utilisation certificates to the Centre,” Vundavalli said.

The former MP said there was nothing wrong in ordering a CBI probe into the allegations levelled by retired Tirumala temple priest A V Ramana Deekshitulu on the misappropriation of temple funds and missing jewellery.

He reminded that even when Naidu was in the opposition, he had made a similar demand.
