Pawan Shifts Focus On Weavers' Problems

After a brief lull, power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is back to streets. He is going to address a massive meeting of Padmasalis (weavers) at Mangalagiri town in Guntur district, known for its handloom textiles, on Monday evening.

As many as 75 handloom weavers would take up one-day fast at the ground in front of Acharya Nagarjuna University near Mangalagiri, where over 10,000 people from the weaving community would gather to highlight the problems being faced by the community.

Jana Sena cadre is mobilising people in large number and making massive arrangements for the public meeting which would be addressed by Pawan Kalyan, who would make the agitators to call off their fast in the evening.

This is the first time after a couple of months that Pawan Kalyan is going to be among the people, after his tour in Uddanam area in Srikakulam district where he highlighted the problem of mysterious kidney diseases.

Though he gave a call for a Jallikattu-style rally at Visakhapatnam beach on January 26 demanding special category status to Andhra Pradesh, he did not participate in it and was confined to attacking the Centre on his twitter.

When he raised the kidney diseases issue of Uddanam, the Chandrababu Naidu government reacted immediately and initiated some steps to find a solution to the problem. And Pawan lost no time in appreciating Naidu.

Don’t be surprised, if Naidu will respond on the weavers’ issue, too, and Pawan will thank the chief minister again!
