Pawan Promises All Things To All People!

Pawan Promises All Things To All People!

With elections to Andhra Pradesh state assembly fast approaching, the true politician in Pawan Kalyan, the actor-turned-Jana Sena Party president is gradually coming out.

And he started making tall promises to people like any other typical politician aspiring to become the chief minister.

It was evident from his speeches at the public meetings he had addressed in West Godavari district on Saturday.

Some of the promises he had mentioned are: distribution of LPG cylinders to womenfolk free of cost, cash transfer of Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 per people to women in place of distribution of rice through public distribution system, implementation of prohibition in a practical and responsible manner and abolition of contributory pension scheme etc.

Pawan also came up with a policy on providing reservations to various sections of people.

He said he would provide reservation to all sections of people based on their percentage of population in education and employment, besides 33 per cent quota to women in the legislative bodies.

The Jana Sena Party chief also gave clarity on Kapu reservations. He said he would strive for inclusion of Kapu reservations under ninth schedule of the Constitution of India.

“I am not going to cheat the Kapus by making false promises. I will adopt the practical approach,” he said.

He also assured to constitute a corporation for the uplift of economically backward classes within the upper castes.

And for Muslims, Pawan promised to implement the recommendations of Justice Sachar commission.

“I am aware of the crux of the problem and will strive to increase the ratio of reservation and implement Sachar Committee report for social justice. The social issues will be part of my party’s manifesto,” the Jana Sena chief said.

Pawan said he entered politics as he believes that every responsible person should enter politics.

“I entered into politics to do service to the country and society. Films are my profession and politics is a responsibility,” he claimed.
