Pawan On Foreign Tours Ignoring Party!

Pawan On Foreign Tours Ignoring Party!

Elections to Andhra Pradesh assembly and Lok Sabha are just four months away and there is a talk in political circles that the Election Commission is likely to announce the schedule for elections in the last week of February.

While Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is struggling hard to overcome the anti-incumbency by announcing a series of welfare measures, main opposition YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is going all out to reach out to the voters with his Praja Sankalpa Yatra which is nearing completion.

Both the TDP and YSRC have a strong organisational structure with cadre from grassroots to state level.

Both the parties have almost finalised their party candidates for the coming assembly and Lok Sabha elections and are battle ready.

The only party which appears to be lagging behind is Jana Sena Party. At a time Naidu and Jagan have stepped up their high-pitch campaign well in advance, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is touring foreign countries at this crucial juncture, when he is supposed to build up the organisational network and identify the candidates.

Only recently that Pawan had spent nearly two weeks in the United States on the pretext of meeting his supporters and galvanising their support to the Jana Sena in the coming elections. It is believed that it was essentially a fund-raising trip.

Within days of his return to India, he once again left for Europe along with his family.

The reason cited by the party is that Pawan’s wife Anna Lezenova wanted to perform some rituals to her son Shankar Pawanovitch as per Christian traditions, on the eve of Christmas. Pawan is expected to return to India after Christmas festival.

Pawan announced that he would be available full time at Amaravati to the party cadre after Europe tour. Party leaders are making arrangements in this direction, a spokesman said.
